Tampere Music Award for Exceptional Achievement in Music Business

The Tampere Music Award is judged by the City of Tampere and acknowledges a person, persons, organisation or movement that has contributed extraordinarily to the development of the music industry. The award will be given during the Industry Awards Gala, which is a part of the Music & Media Finland conference. 

For the city of Tampere, the Tampere Music Award is an opportunity to recognise outstanding entrepreneurial innovation in the creative sector. "The City of Tampere invests heavily in developing the creative industries and the Creative Tampere Programme, launched in 2006, remains the largest regional creative development initiative in Finland. We are proud to host the region's most important annual music event in Tampere. We believe that the strategic vision of Music & Media Finland to grow international cooperation with Russia and the Baltic markets strongly supports our city's strategy", says the Mayor of the City of Tampere, Timo P. Nieminen.

Music & Media Finland offers an extended program of seminars, meetings and live music events. The conference is a significant meeting point for leading music industry figures from around the world, who will gather together with professionals from the Finnish music and entertainment scene. Yearly around 700 international and Finnish guests will attend the event in the attractive waterside surroundings of Tampere.
